Caring for Natural Stone
Your natural stone piece has been selected for its unique character and is made to develop beautifully with the right care.
Everyday cleaning
For regular cleaning, use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild, pH-neutral soap, then dry the surface with a clean cloth.
Wipe spills promptly — particularly acidic or strongly pigmented liquids such as wine, coffee, citrus, tomato-based products and sauces.
What to avoid
- Abrasive cleaners, bleach, harsh chemicals and acidic cleaning products
- Placing extremely hot cookware or objects directly onto the stone — use coasters, placemats or heat-resistant mats where appropriate
- Leaving standing water or spills to sit
Every piece is unique
Natural stone is formed by nature, so each piece displays its own veining, colour variation, mineral markings, pores and texture. These characteristics are part of the stone's natural beauty and mean no two Maison Blanc pieces are exactly alike. The piece you receive will have its own individual pattern and character, and may vary from photography or showroom samples.
Where a product's details state that the stone has been sealed and honed, treat the surface gently and re-seal periodically as recommended for the stone type.
